Tanya König is a multilingual TV presenter, broadcast journalist, moderator, show host, interviewer, and digital video producer. She is a video producer and reporter for the platform finance.swiss, that highlights the latest going-on in the country’s vast financial landscape, the host of the first episode of the TV-show «NextIn Business» on Sat.1 Schweiz, and an anchor for the program Gesichter & Geschichten on SRF (Swiss National Television).

She is the founder and owner of KÖNIG LLC and is regularly booked to moderate and host events and shows such as conferences, panel discussions, galas, or livestream productions. She has moderated over 120 events so far in Switzerland, Germany, France, U.K., and Portugal.

From 2017-2020, Tanya worked at CNN Money Switzerland where she hosted and produced interviews and programs on art, culture, and lifestyle as well as reporting on entrepreneurs and their start-up journeys. Her art market interviews were mentioned by the Financial Times, The New York Times, artnet news, and The Art Newspaper. In January 2021, she launched Swizz Art Biz, a video podcast where she interviews major players in the art world.

In 2014, she worked as multimedia editor and online host for Swiss National Television (SRF) and started volunteering for TEDxZurich as a core team member, storyteller, and moderator of the event. Since then she has hosted most TEDxZurichSalon and TEDxZurichWomen events.

She has written for newspapers and magazines, including a weekly movie review for Blick am Abend from 2014-2017. She has also contributed to the program «Hora dos Portugueses» on Portuguese National Television (RTPi) and reported on the Portuguese diaspora and their businesses in Switzerland.

She received her BA degree in Sinology, film studies, and political science from the University of Zurich and studied in Beijing for one year (2011-12). Before that, she received a diploma from Ringier School of Journalism, where she was trained as print and video journalist.

Tanya König was born in Australia to a Sino-Portuguese mother and Swiss father and grew up in Australia, Portugal and Switzerland.

Sei es auf der Bühne als Moderatorin einer Live Show oder eines virtuellen Anlasses, als Videoproduzentin oder TV-Reporterin, ist Tanya König immer auf der Suche nach einer kreativen Erzählform.

Ihre erste Erfahrung vor der TV-Kamera hatte sie als 15-Jährige, als Moderatorin. Das war der Grundstein für Tanya’s Karriere. Seither hat sie die Ringier Journalistenschule absolviert und war dort der erste Videojournalist (zuvor wurden nur Printjournalisten ausgebildet), hat als Online Reporterin der Sendung «The Voice of Switzerland» auf SRF für das jüngere Publikum der Sendung berichtet, für das Portugiesische Staatsfernsehen RTP als freie Korrespondentin in der Schweiz gearbeitet und beim ersten englischsprachigen Sender der Schweiz «CNNMoney Switzerland» eigene Formate entwickelt, produziert und moderiert. Tanya’s Fokus war der Kunstmarkt und die Start-up Welt. Auch wurde sie Head of Digital und kümmerte sich um die Strategie der digitalen Plattformen des Senders und führte ein kleines Team.

Sie ist Gründerin und Inhaberin der KÖNIG GmbH und produziert Videointerviews für die Plattform finance.swiss und wird regelmässig als Moderatorin für Anlässe und Podiumsdiskussionen gebucht. Sie moderierte 2022 das Wirtschaftsmagazin «NextIn Business» auf Sat.1 Schweiz und gehört seit Juli 2022 zum Moderationsteam von G&G auf SRF.

Sie hat einen Bachelor of Arts in Sinologie, Politikwissenschaft und Filmwissenschaft an der Universität Zürich gemacht und ein Jahr in Peking an der Central Academy of Drama Mandarin gelernt (und in der Freizeit einen Kurzfilm in Peking produziert).
